About

Neil Turnberg Founder and Master Designer

Neil was born and raised in Santa Barbara California where he started working as a carpenter’s apprentice. A wife and two kids later, he moved with his family to the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State to continue his career as a carpenter and enjoy the outdoors with his family.  An avid hiker and outdoorsman, Neil has a passion for the fauna and flora of the Pacific Northwest. Neil has proudly lived his entire life along the Highway 101 corridor giving rise to the name of his woodcrafting company. Within the walls of a tightly packed but tidy woodshop, Neil makes delightful snack bowls, cooking utensils, candlesticks and he entertains special orders from select clients. Circa 1980 (1985?) Neil designed his first Blowout Board (working name) in order to save the whipped cream topping of the family favorite birthday cake.

Lisa Turnberg CFO2 Chief Finishing Officer/Chief Financial Officer

Lisa was born and raised in Los Angeles, but was never meant for city life. Her teenage years were spent on a horse ranch north of LA and she quickly realized upon adulthood that the woods of the Pacific Northwest was the calling she was meant to follow.  Managing a household that included two children, a large garden and a rotating barn door of livestock, including the occasional piglets in the kitchen. Lisa is as salt of the earth as they get. Combine that practical knowledge with a keen eye and attention to detail for frugality and finance makes her the ideal partner to Neil’s woodworking genius!
